--> Things may be getting better for the musical climate in Fullerton, CA.
Wednesday night I played after a set by local jazz quartet Stop Time for a CD release party.
The trumpet player John and I have been trying to get the music guy at the club to hear what real good electronica sounds like, and not the pop crap they have to put up with.
When all was said and done, 2 hours of broken beat, loungey house and a few ringers later (with minimal fuckup), the guy loved the music.
Let's hope it comes together and The Commonwealth Lounge can earn the name in music too!

I loved this set. Fantastic stuff.

I wouln't call it "loungey" at all, but more jazzy, kind of an acid-jazz sound, which I rather like.

Very nice. Thanks for posting it.

that was a great listen. I love the 20s groove in the first half a whole big bunch!!!!
