--> I'm pleased to finally be able to say that my new download EP, Death of an Aura, is now available for listening/purchasing on Bleep: link

It's a couple of days late, but I'm just glad to see it up there at long last. FLAC should be following shortly, along with iTunes et al too.

I suppose you could say the EP features my vocal debut, though mainly through humming and oohing here and there for a bit of extra texture, plus some nonsense lyrics for good measure.

A couple of tracks (Napoli and Raido) are the result of a collaboration between Benet Walsh and I (you may recognise Ben from his work with Plaid), which were a lot of fun -- hopefully we'll get a few more tracks done together by the time the next album arrives.

The EP was expertly mastered by one John McCaig, who I believe occasionally pops by these parts. ;)

Anyway, hope you like it!

Saw you play at 93 feet east the other day Ochre! Good stuff!

Nice to heard some good music in london!

Nice. I've always liked your work. I'm checking this out now.

Also, how does one get something on Bleep?

Thanks!

packetst0rm -- ah, great stuff -- thanks very much for coming along to the show!

Leo -- Bleep only deal with labels at the moment, and although this is just a download release that I could have technically released through Tunecore etc., it's released through Benbecula just like any other physical release. Well, I guess there is a physical component to the release, for 'Minerals' subscribers anyway...

shit, this got released before i could leak it!
i'll be faster next time

This is excellent news. Was this the project you did with that guitar guy who's also worked with Plaid?

I will certainly download this as soon as you have lossless files for sale. Superbly crafted recordings deserve hi fidelity listening. Please let us/me know when you've got them up. I'm ichin' to listen.

Didn't you master Lemodie yourself?

Yep, worked with Benet on a couple of the tracks, plus working on more together at the moment.

And yep, I mastered Lemodie myself, though mainly due to time constraints more than anything else. I do prefer getting a fresh pair of ears to do it though, which is why I turned to ol' jdg for help this time (and 'cos he's cheap). ;)
