ROME - A deer with a single horn in the center of its head — much like the fabled, mythical unicorn — has been spotted in a nature preserve in Italy, park officials said Wednesday.

"This is fantasy becoming reality," Gilberto Tozzi, director of the Center of Natural Sciences in Prato, told The Associated Press. "The unicorn has always been a mythological animal."

The 1-year-old Roe Deer — nicknamed "Unicorn" — was born in captivity in the research center's park in the Tuscan town of Prato, near Florence, Tozzi said.

He is believed to have been born with a genetic flaw; his twin has two horns.

i loved this blog.

this is the moment i point and say I TOLD YOU SO!

man... ain't he the gayest little nazi..

Evan should sue this deer.

lol @ Roshi for "ewe".

I find genetic mutations absolutely fascinating. Lets say that for some reason having a back penis got you crazy ladies. So many in fact that you knocked up like 40 of them. Suddenly, your genetic mutation would be there, in the gene pool. The ladies would eventually go crazy for your offspring, and BAM, humans now have back penises. (BAM=really really long time) However, it may not be a genetic mutation. Just a mutation. In that case, interesting performance roles await that man.

Both the cyclopia and the single horn are most likely not genetic in nature, but were caused in utero by some toxin that disrupted normal pattern formation.

Also, speaking as a scientist, I would be suprised if any exogneous penii could function in an erectile fashion, That requires blood flow & nerves connected all the way up to the brain. Most likely, if not removed, it'd be permalimp.

-10 pts for Roshi, that was baaaaaad
