hello all
my first blog
so, i am about wrapping up a project that basically is a group of minimal piano pieces, my friend and i wrote some melody ideas, sketches really, we recorded various takes, then i went into the takes and created composites, i think its going to turn out lovely, still have a bit of work to do, layering, mixing, etc.

anyhow, i am gathering up info on labels to send the work to but could use some help, anyone have any suggestions regarding possible labels for this type of work, i have a few so far, but would like to find more

why do you want a label? Can't you release it yourself? Honestly, please put a loooooot of thought into signing with a label. Especially when your music is harder to classify it makes less and less sense to do so...

i would give an arm to release w/ type, but i am not sure i am at that level
fredo - i hear what your saying, its just the money that will go into sending out press packets w/ the work would be a lot less then pressing say 500 cd's, or maybe it wouldn’t, i don’t know, maybe your right, we'll see what response i get back, its more of a validation thing as i want to end up sending this work to directors/video artists for possible collaboration opportunities

ty, i actually had about 100 labels, narrowed down to like 10, but i can send you a group of links if you'd like, there are 2 sites that have a ton of info as well i could send, cant recall what they are now
