--> One of the local bars I go to does a Tuesday night open mic night.
Except you have to ring/email with demo to get booked. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT OPEN MIC?!?!?

I really wanted to play, but they don't want me as i'm not some dude with a geetah playing Nirvana covers.

Sorry I'm going to rant now. I just think it totally sucks that i can get a gig in any other city in europe, but my home town. I haven't done a gig in Reanding since 2003, and NOONE GOT ME!!! everytime I have played in Reading people afterwards look at me like they want to kick my head in!
seriously, maybe i should move up north ( if anyone's got a room in manchester or leeds em me!!)
