--> I have heard rumors about this, and have talked to different producers out there i know about this. I think a electronic music festival in portland would be really successful. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with festivals or had any input about making this possible.

That would be radical! I will help you out, man!

hey don't know USA, Oregon and Portland, but you have to know that EVERYTHING is always possible !

the STFU events in Europe are often made with passion, elbow grease and just a little money, with good results. it's not a Sonar Festival, it's smaller, but i think making a cool event has nothing to do with the size. Only the size of the sound system counts, and to have happy faces there !

If it can happen in Bowling Green, OH, I'm sure it can happen in Portland.

It's a lot easier to drive to OH

no ideas how to do it but sign me up for whatever

I live here in Portland, Oregon! I have not heard anything about an Electronic Festival. Will ask around.

i would be willing to volunteer etc.i want to play too...

I'm game for whatever in Portland or Seattle if somebody can help me figure out how the hell to get around either city in a car...
someone else is thinking of it too, sorta

Seattle does have one, delta: link

Are you kidding???

Sure it would be a fun one-off, but that'd be about it. You would have to compete with not only local festivals like PDX Pop Now & MusicFestNW, but also Decibel, Sasquatch & Fabric in BC.

Just like all things in Portland, it'll never fly outside the city limits.

what's wrong with a fun one off?

i agree about having the occasional one night party instead. i know too many people who have been talking about doing this for at least 5 years and nothing has ever come of it other than a few hangovers. personally, i feel that interest in em in pdx has been waning in the last couple of years. there's still mad talent in town, it's just that there aren't a whole lot of people who go out to see their peers play or run a weekly em night at pub or whatever these days.

Maybe it should be a locals showcase. It costs some ca$h to bring the bigger acts. But, maybe it's possible.

even if it were just a one-off, i think it would be fun. of course, it would be nice to have a crowd to recoup some of the expenses and maybe gain a bit of interest for future events.
