Geez, safety first!

I remember my old chem prof (we worked with highpower lasers) was telling us that at the national lab he used to work at, they would take a picture of your retinas at the end of each day just to make sure you didn't have any blind spots from catching laser glare and the glare burning out your retina.

The scary thing about blind spots is you don't know they're there until something disappears from your field of vision...eek!
