--> Here is the latest list of those who want to participate in the electronic music cover project. It's almost to the point where this is going to need to be released as a set of volumes rather than a single release. Hell might even start a trend or two.

are there any plans about where to release it yet?

as this is probably going to be something in the length of at least a double cd, we could split it into 2-3 seperate releases and put it out on various netlabels.

e.g. my own netlabel
link

Still in planning phase. My thought was maybe release it in volumes. Definitely something to discuss.

i liked the massive hippocamp releases of days past - once you hit 3 CD territory it can become tough to digest though - maybe it'll all come naturally once all the entries are there..

Does this project really require 5 different blogs to get it started?

Seriously, just pick one, put everything in there and delete the rest.

Zanf, don't worry. You'll survive.

zanf, get a grip. i wish there were more blogs about this, at least 4 more.

LoL

i was thinking about getting COVER PROJECT tatooed on my forehead in case i forgot about this.

you know, i could think of a better place than your forehead..
pextris, I think you have gone hogwild with all the blogs. I count six! Also, please let me know if it's electronic only, as that will rule me out for sho.

releasing it in volumes would be awesome.

maybe we could split it up in decades or genres of the original song or something. like "90s grunge" or "mid-70s softporn score".

or maybe into 'types' of the covers

mine probably wouldnt sound too good placed next to minimal house and acoustic strumming

(its noisey dubstep type stuff)

yeah that'd be cool too

I'd rather have 6 blogs taking up space about music than the one blog next to it called "Mangoes" that got more "likes" than blogs about music. (yes I know that was you, tanner

i'd say one more reminder blog in October, should be all we need.

i started mine... so far it's me playing on a classical guitar and singing, recorded on a noisy tape player... i'll probably add more "electronic" to it though, what ever that means.
so fredo, i'm sure there will be a lot of non electronic covers... so go for it!

I was serious about the Iron Maiden cover. Well, I'll be more sure after a couple schetches.
