--> hello em411. today is a good day. I'm stoked for this blog because it means the new Müd EP, Yavonemu, is now available. I've wanted to release some of Jason's music for a long time so i'm glad that day is here. The blurb below will fill you in on what's what but i think you should go to the online shop and preview the tracks for a better idea of all that this EP touches on.

He gave me maybe 50+ tracks and we eventually narrowed them down to these 8 as a precursor to his full length LP that will hopefully see the light of day early next year or perhaps before the end of this year if we're lucky.

mastered at panic studios by john mccaig.

this is a download only release and is currently only available at addictech records in many file formats and DRM free it's in the process of being filtered out to all the online outlets including itunes, napster, emusic etc where all our other releases reside.

addictech on line shop and track previews

the "download complete album" option isn't up yet so right now you have to download each individual track but hopefully we'll get that sorted out soon enough.

Artist: Müd
Album title: Yavonemu
Label: Buried In Time
cat: bit-005

Müd, aka Jason Ploeckelman, has been making music of one kind or another for as long as he can remember. Different aliases come and go but the one that's here to stay is Müd. The tracks on offer here vary from dubby soundscapes and crunchy beats to determined deep and groove ladened techno. All of it somehow tonally making complete sense and sustaining it self to the very end. Each track fits into a cohesive psychedelic pie that represents only a taste of what is stowed away on his hard drive. If you like your electronic music to careen off the well beaten path now and then but still some how keep it in sight then feast your ears on the tracks listed below and stay tuned for a follow up full length.

tracklist:

1 snorkeling in toxic waste
2 pus rachet
3 harbor crawler
4 trappings (ignatius) - müd remix
5 a case of the post-yavonemu color displays
6 memory antennae (let's go outside) - müd remix
7 endless space pattern dub
8 levitate

EDIT: I put up a couple full track previews at the myspace/virb pages.

w00t! Yes, there is a story behind the title. Thanks for putting this out Ignatius!

i heard a little bit of the story but not all the details. i know there were some catalysts involved.

plus scrabble!

yes well scrabble figures into everything doesn't it

absolutely (DOUBLE WORD SCORE!).

These tracks are really dope! I've heard some of them before, but they really have a nice liquidy feel in this release. The name is totally appropriate... w/ backstory.

just got an email from addictech and the "buy entire album? option should be available shortly. awesome.

thanks steve and john! you guys are top shelf.

Excellent news! Love your label
