--> There was a post a long time ago about a new interface that had hexagonal or pentagonal buttons. It completely blew my mind because of the interesting way harmonics were layed out on it's various axis'. I had assumed it was the tenori-on for a long time, but I recently suggested a friend check it out during a conversation about visually representing harmonic relationships between notes and was disappointed to realize that the tenori-on was that OTHER interface (what with the blinking lights and animations and all...not to be confused with the monome).

Does anyone remember the real name of this device?

i think maybe it was this link

neato

kinda more like guitar

Jarvis blogged about this before, its part of the Janko system. I still think its the best idea/layout for writing music.

link

man, that things layout is downright clever!

elronhubbard ftw! That microtonal system looks pretty neat, though, astroid. People are doing some amazing things with lego mindstorm these days.

there is also the haken continuum link looks pretty sweet also. unfortunately these are all really, really expensive controllers.

also dont forget about the zendrum. link

I remember seeing this smaller red controller that one could strap on like a guitar...it was a box though...and I think it used the Janko system or another alternate keyboard layout...I can't seem to find it though

so basically you were drunk and bullshitting your friend, when your supply of bullshit ran low, and now you have to come here to get more, so next time you talk someone's ear off with your bullshit rants you'll have plenty of ammo. you and hecangagonballs should meet up and suck each other off, you queers
