i d/led this a couple of hours ago, and i'm customizing it right now (importing/organizing my bookmarks, adding wikipedia search, etc.).

its a nice, clean, simple interface. it gets the job done with minimum overhead. looks fantastic to me! i think it'll be my main browser for a while.

i heard that google is a big contributor to the mozilla project. i wonder what the future of that collaboration will be?

I wish they had an os X version.

just had some problems with youtube clips... anyone else?

I can't run it at all, get errors that the exe can't init

here's a neat feature (just discovered):

in the comments text box (the one i'm typing this in), when i select it to start entering text, a green/orange (i'm color blind!) border appears around it and a little square icon appears in the bottom right hand corner of the text box. i can drag the little square icon to increase the size of the text box.

not exactly earth shattering, but still pretty cool imo.

read the EULA.

haha

Basicly its firefox 3 only better, in the way its faster with java etc. Gmail and the likes go flawless in this baby. mozilla must be focussing on other stuff i think, like provinfing good plugins for chrome.

omfg I love the comments box thing! This browser is badass. FF3 was a huge bummer- i actually had to use the IE tab more often than not!

this sounds great. i'm glad they went open-source. i'm still a little sketched out by the google-ness of it though. are they going to track your every move like they do with my gmail? very big brotheresque.

yes they will track everything you do, and in ten years they will buy all the insurence agencys in the world and they will use all the info they have against you.

yeah, too bad about the mediocre flash support (thats why youtube is messing up, apparently).

oh well, its only beta. i'm sure the next update will fix it (since youtube IS owned by google). everything else gets the thumbs up from me.

google is skynet

admit it. the writing is there

say what you want about google, they make software the right way. they really manage to avoid bloat at every turn, no matter what functionality is added. they have a focus on open source, and community development. i think they're a shining light. five years from now i could be saying something else, but if they free just a few people from underneath microsoft's bloated decaying corpse then more power to them. up next: android for PC. bring it!
