--> Hey Portland EM411
Probably my last live set for a while, this coming Sunday night at Valentine's, downtown. Curated by my old pal noise guru Pete Swanson, CHALLENGE is a monthly night with themed live performances. This month is TAPE CHALLENGE and I'll be performing some of my tape loop music with FX's and modular synth stuff etc. etc. This involves tape loops inside cassettes, a four track and lots of boxes. No MAX/MSP, Apple computers, etc. so if you aren't down with Tapes this is not the show for you!

A whole shitload of random noiseniks are going to be doing boombox installations and stuff like that. I think it will rule. My set will probably be the mellowest, but who knows.

Later this year or in a short while, the UK experimental music label Entr'acte (www.entracte.co.uk) will release my 7" single entitled Noise Tape Reggae which features tape loop reggae music that I made.

If you are down with cassette tapes. This show is your jam. It is FREE but sadly, 21+.

cassette tape is totally the new vinyl, IMHO.

Does that make vinyl the new CD? I think this show is gonna rule and did I mention it's effing FREE? Free shows are the new awesome.
