--> feeling like so much burned popcorn on and off again. hard to see else at the moment. center of gavity is shifting - always. How much do we fight it, and how much do we learn to work with it? and learn from it. How does one subvert music if we're not sure of what music means any more?

"be quiet and listen" (prolly the best answer you'll get anytime soon)

I have to wonder why you would want to subvert something if you don't know what it is - is that what you're admitting? An impulse to subvert without regard for whether or not it's necessary or useful? The fact that the centre is constantly shifting almost negates this need, because eventually you could find yourself at the centre - what then? Are you then obligated to be anti-self? What if you subvert yourself out of the need to subvert? Are you then stuck thinking that you are yourself always the centre?

I guess my point is that it is an endless cycle, and obsessing over it is not likely to get you very far.
In other words, everamzah's answer really is the best you'll get!

indeed, everamzah. Great answer.

less drugs

Drugs are bad m'kay?

also, more drugs. i recommend ketamine at reasonable doses! music will sound totally different to you. and so will your thoughts and cute concepts like 'subversion' and levels of importance will change.

also, be quiet and listen. i like that so much.

stop thinking so much

This is dated September 6, 2008?? I didn't post this, and only posted a query about cleaning mixers today. Was I hacked somehow? It sounds a bit like me... but it's not. I've been making music too long to post that - and I've been far too busy to worry - both musically and otherwise.
