--> hey all,

recently relocated! and still working on my modular. figured i would share some nice pics. i may even have some tracks to share soon.

i had to build a new cabinet so i threw together a synth undercarriage for my controller. cost next to nothing for the wood and brackets and looks...well, good enough imho.

also added some close-ups of some new panel designs (jellyfish!) that i made using waterslide decals and some spray clear coat. i had some duds trying to get something that looked good and wouldn't chip away, but i think it's almost there.

anyway the new modules are a blacet darkstar chaos (a neato noise generator that unfortunately, they don't make anymore ), a super psycho lfo from catgirl synth, and a lag processor from MOTM (they finally allow you to buy bare pcb's and save a few hundred bucks)

anyway, it's good fun to have some actual hardware, and really very flexible, which is the point, right? i can use the theremin volume as VC control, run the computer through the filters and sub octave, create all kinds of insect swarms with two interacting burst generators driving the noise and the lfo banks running as pitched drones---or i can turn it off, sit back and play the canjo while just staring at its inspiring non-computerness

cheers!

Excellent photos! Many thanks for sharing.
Very cool setup.

that's nice. Looks inviting.

That blue velvet makes you look like The Sparkle Wizard.

very nice... lovely set up.

careful!! that pabst is spilling all over your modular!!

Love the jellyfish panels!

You have some weird noose symmetry going on in the first picture too - poster with a noose on the left, doll hanging by the neck on the right. You may want to consider hanging a unicorn poster in the middle to lighten the mood a bit. ;)

clean studio Mines all corded up.

I like the blue crushed velvet

OMG ERNST!!!!

and a bulbul tarang?

i love the startwav sound and aesthetic - there is a feeling i get inside that something really pure and childlike is happening - childlike - in a really imaginative sense

i can use the theremin volume as VC control, run the computer through the filters and sub octave, create all kinds of insect swarms with two interacting burst generators driving the noise and the lfo banks running as pitched drones

i want to hear hours and hours of this, stat!

most importantly, you have PBR!

wow, you spotted the bulbul tarang and the PBR canjo!

i hope to post some actual recordings as soon as i wire everything up.

thanks guys!
