--> Hey Portland EM411,
I am playing a show in france and I'm entertaining the thought of bringing an Atari Videomusic for visuals. Which for those of you who don't know, it's a 2600-era videobox that responds to amplitude and features manual controls for weird dayglo "navajo carpet" type patterning.

To accomplish this I would need a converter box that changes from NTSC to SECAM. A long shot that anyone here has one, but if you do or know of a rental/borrow/cheap buy resource (I have extr. slim budget) then let me know.

you can probably rig up a laptop to do this for you. if you have a a suitable capture interface.

but u can buy a standalone converter for probably a few hundred. and a rental would probably cost the same.

most video projectors can display NTSC. and i don't know if it has to be SECAM anyway. never had problems with PAL in france but i don't know what the difference between SECAM & PAL really is.

where in france?
