It seems quite appropriate to be blogging about it now...with the recent blogs about Alan Moore and comic books. I designed all the artwork around a classic sci-fi pulp comic type theme. I even had my illustrator bud draw me up as a an old-school cheesy alien villain. I'm totally psyched about this one!

wow. the samples are killer. your stuff does sound very different. darker but in a much different way.

Thx guys! I worked quite a lot at building and drawing out grooves on this album. The goal was to have listeners be able to enjoy it without having to rack their brains too hard, but still have freaky shit going on for anyone that wants to peek further in. That's where the comic villain motif came in me thinks. Fun meets sinister. There're a few tracks that are pretty full-on melodic and gentle though.

The samples sound great! I'll pick up a copy shortly. I like the idea you have about finding grooves that allow for repeat listening but layering and doing some crazy little things to give it depth to explore.
