My arduinome (arduino powered monome clone) is finished!
link
If an electronics dunce like me can do it, anyone on this site can too (but if you're a dunce like me it will take you a long time, like it did me ).
It's lots of fun, really nice to finally be able to play it. Next i'm building a mlr clone in SuperCollider, which i plan to extend with some granular manipulation tricks.
Have a great weekend all of you!

looks great indeed
it's good to know that without (any) soldering skills, you are able to finish this project
that opens perspectives...
so, you're really into supercollider lately it seems, any experiences (besides the mlr clone app) that you would like to share with us?
it always seemed a very powerful, yet incredibly code-based and rational environment

awesome!!! i am so happy that the arduinome project is picking up steam.
any chance that the machine collective will make a complete enclosure like this for the monome 40h kit? i know that the faceplates have been available but i really like the aluminum sides.
great job.

great work tomasz.
maybe i should also dive into that. but i guess it would take me 3 years to built one.
or maybe i ask wesen, to do it on a weekend

Thanks chaps. bodo, apart from the joystick vid i don't have any SuperCollidery stuff online yet. I had a breakthrough yesterday with the mlr thing, the basis is working now (quantized slice triggering of audio loops), and i have a graphic representation of a monome that's lighting up in the correct way (using SC monome classes from here link ).
mapmap: perhaps if machinecollective would offer complete enclosures for monome kits it could be seen as encroaching too much on monome's business, i'm not sure though. I don't know about whether or not there are plans to supply complete enclosures for the kits, but i know that xndr has been in contact with tehn when planning what to offer via machinecollective.

yo !
i followed your blog religiously, since i'm really interested into doing the same thing as you.
that arduinome looks good, and it seems the only way to obtain a monome. an affordable monome.
Is xndr ready to sell the enclosure and faceplate kit for an arduinome ?
I have, also, another question: do you need each time to flash the arduino ? or does it keep the arduinome code forever ?
big congratulations anyway. you made it quite nice.

I think he's taking orders.. I think he's _nearly_ready to ship them. To be sure though, you can ask on the forum at machinecollective.org

Happily it keeps it until its flashed with something else (it'd be a huge pain in the arse otherwise!).
big congratulations anyway. you made it quite nice. thanks very much!

Here's a video of the arduinome with an early version of the supercollider mlr-ish app that i mentioned (still needs a name) link
