--> Hi there.
as we all know LFOs are not available in Ableton Live at the moment. So they only way to get some modulation going is via some external piece of software.

as there are already some MIDI-LFOs and stuff existing in ableton live and as i also do like my LFOS a little bit different, i thought some algorithmic stuff would be a good thing.
so i thought it might be cool to use something like a lorenz-attractor and use the different axis to control midi-CCs.

and here it is: the Lorenz Attractor MIDI LFO for Ableton Live. it has 9 Modulation-Sources (three times X, Y and Z), which you can scale and you can alter the lorenz equotation to your liking to get some really weird patterns. but be warned, some numbers make the function crash, so you have to hit the reset button, to take it back to a secure state. but this is just the maths, the programm itself will not crash.

i hope you guys can make some use out of this.
at the moment it's just running free, but rewire is high priority.

the lorenz-external is from andré sier, who has some amzing max/msp externals

the lfo is quite self explaining, but there's also a little help me section.

Enjoy!

I always wanted there to be a boy band called A2M

Cool!

Lorenz Attractor LFO's have been available in Linux for quite sometime, via LADSPA. I believe there is a JACK for Macintosh which will allow these plugins to be used on a Mac along with Core Audio too.

I did a peice using that attractor last year: link

They are a lot of fun, but like any effect can get old after a while.

I should mention, the Lorenz ambient goodness that folks seem to like around here, are at the end of that track, about 3 minutes in.

thanks for this
