--> I'll be in Toronto for about a week, from Sunday the 19th through Tuesday the 28th. Any of you kids know of any good electronic shows, non-electronic shows, or other events that are happening then? I'm also open to recommendations for things to check out while I'm in town, from good bars and restaurants and record shops, to interesting day trips and things tourists usually miss out on. Anybody in Toronto? Anybody been as a visitor?

maybe we can do an em-meet. theres a few guys around that could all meetup. gorf, eyesnine, subset, minisystem, darkstartron, myself, maybe admin. im sure theres more, but those are the ones that have met up before. its about time we do another one i think. heh.

Although it always strikes me that EM isn't very well-represented on such lists (or at live venues in general I guess). Good record shops are fewer than they once were. Here's links to a few:

As for stuff to see, I suppose it depends what you like. Toronto's a good city to just start walking in. Start walking west from University on Queen, west from Bathurst on College, west from Spadina on Bloor, east from Broadview on Danforth, East from Yonge on Queen, North on Yonge from King, north on Spadina from Queen. Lots of shops, cafes, bars, galleries, colourful neighbourhoods, etc going in those directions.

Thanks shamann, i'll check out those links.

I've got a lot of places that I'm planning to hit up while i'm in town, and I've got lots of time to jsut explore, but it's always good to get tips from the locals.

And I'd totally be down for an em-meet. I've pretty much only met up with the Cascadia/Pacfic Northwest/Calfornia contingent of this site before, with a couple of exceptions.

Before we create an event, what is everyone's schedule looking like for the next couple weeks?

I'm still on this contract doing the 9-5 thing, weekends aside. Sunday the 26th looks like the next decent day for me.
