So I've been asked to play an election night show here in Seattle, which I find amusing, being a Canadian citizen with no voting rights. C'est la vie I suppose. I think I'm going to hang a giant Canadian flag behind me during my set, and wear my CCCP hammer and sickle logo t-shirt as well.
I have a set that I played back in May, but I'm thinking of busting my ass this weekend and putting the songs and outtakes from my last EP together as a new live set. that means I have about 5 days to do it. It's mostly tedious work too (copying patterns and stuff like that...blah.). But I think I can do it, and I think it will be fun.
The party's at Nectar on Tuesday. Starts at 5pm. I have no idea when I go on (probably early) or who else is playing, or what it costs. But I'll update this thread when I know. See some of you there, after you visit the polls and help elect the first non-white American president?

It looks like it's going to be an entirely new set, although built from existing material. I'm basically just taking songs I've never played live, mashing them all together into one long file, with some new sections and transitions, and adding a lot of MIDI control.
Started working on this last night and I got pretty far actually....I'm feeling pretty good about what I'm coming up with for transitions. If I can keep this pace, I should be done by Tuesday, no problem.

NEctar sounds great usually...I'm hoping I'll sound good there too!
I'll be playing with Jeskola Buzz on a Macbook running Windows, with a BCR2000 and an Oxygen 8. And an M-audio Quattro as my audio interface.

Not exactly sure CC. I hope it's not right at 5pm, because I get off work in Redmond at 4pm, and it would be nice to have time to sound check! I imagine I'll be earlyish, and I have a feeling music won't start until normal show time....maybe 8 or so? I've asked the promoter, but haven't heard yet. But you should totally come out!
