So i caught Recount on hbo, and i have this to say. If mccain/palin makes it to the whitehouse, i'm going to be really ticked off, even though obama's protectionist leanings is going to mean bad things for most other economies out there. Having said that, don't rely on government, big business, your boss, to have your interests at heart. If something seems fishy, like variable interest rates on credit card payments, do something about it.

You should all vote for Mccain as he'll probably croak within the first 6 months and youll have Palin in the whitehouse.
It would make more sense because Obama, despite how nice he seems, isnt going to reduce military spending down rom the 48% of the national budget that it is nor reduce the size of your standing military from the current size of 1.8 million personel. He wont close down the secret prisons your previous governments have been running, like gitmo bay for instance and I cant see the patriot acts disappearing any time soon.
It would just be more fitting to have a retarded lipstick smothered pitbull fuckwit in the whitehouse after the fake war hero-marry a rich heiress and dump your crippled wife piece of shit dies pretty quickly, to make you all realise just how much your shit is all fucked up.

Predictions:
Gitmo-as-prison closes within 2 years, no matter who wins. That scores easy points for both guys. We will, however, continue to hide people in Egypt/Saudi Arabia/Poland(?).
The domestically controversial parts of the Patriot Act will mostly sunset out by 2010. The money laundering bits will stay in, as will the parts that make crossing US borders such a ridiculous drag for foreigners.
Military spending (which is actually closer to 54% of the budget--they hide stuff like nuclear weapon development & veterans benefits in other budget lines) has actually been slowly declining as a percentage of the budget ever since WWII, and it will continue to do so. Slowly. Very slowly.
The main differences between the two would be that Obama would possibly support action to correct the health care situation in the US and would not pursue McCain's insane foreign policy: war with Iran/Russia/China, the "League of Democracies" (look it up, it's crazy), etc.

It's all been going downhill since before the dotcom bubble. The 60 trillion cds market that's been transferring wealth from mortgage equity withdrawals to the "haves" is a testament of how big business/corporations/investment banks transcend national borders and just screw things up for everyone except for those on top under the pretext of doing it in the best interest of shareholders. It's been described as the best innovative invention the US has exported.
