--> ursula bogner is simple, strange, musical
i love it
can't recommend it enough

some of her stuff is newly realized from the original reels
by jan jelenik so go listen!

original story and samples are here

you can download/buy the album here

from other music:

"A chance meeting between Jan Jelinek and the son of Ursula Bogner led to the release of the unheard music of this deceased experimental-electronic music hobbyist on Jelinek's new Faitiche imprint. The tracks are jaunty and percolating little explorations that almost sound like cells reproducing in a Petri dish, while at other times they bring to mind someone's idea of techno with a head cold, enveloped in a fog of Robotussin."

yeah!

fine I'll be the first to say I have a boner for bogner

I'm a little skeptical of this story.

qua?!?!

Yeah I read comments elsewhere suggesting this may be a fabricated "find".

Someone mentioned something about it being "jan jelenik in a wig".

If you've been following the slow and steady tread backwards of the last few Jan Jelinek albums, then it might not come as the biggest surprise that the first release on his new boutique label, Faitiche, is a reissue. And after reading the liner notes and inspecting the elaborate space-obsessed linocuts that decorate this limited edition release, you may wonder if it's not just Jan Jelinek himself behind it all. Recordings 1969 – 1988, by Ursula Bogner, sounds at once like a long-lost treasure pulled from a still-mysterious period of electronic music history, and like Jelinek's next logical step.
