Still legal here in Massachusetts, and starting next week it will be legal in Connecticut too.
Coincidentally, MA and CT have the lowest and second-lowest divorce rates in the USA. How's that for a "defense of marriage" argument.

Sucks for CA people though. I don't even know how to broach the topic to my newly-unmarried CA friends. Sickening...

Actually, I think it's up for debate whether prop 8 nulls marriages retroactively.

yeah apparently all marriages done before prop 8 CANNOT be nullified.. so people who did get married will still be married..

It's not so much that they can't be nullified as the California Attorney General's office won't act to un-marry already married couples. But that could change if someone more conservative then Jerry Brown is elected AG, or if someone files a legal action that doesn't require the opinion of the California Department of Justice.
Also on Tuesday was Arkansas passing the Unmarried Couple Adoption Ban, which IMHO is a bigger threat to families than even Prop 8.

what creative forms of human mistreatment will we think of next?!
so creative these bigots are. If they spent that energy not being certifiably insane and mitigating peoples rights, just think of all the bullshit that would be taken care of.
fucking unbelievable what the cross does for the sanctity of a stupid bigot living in bumfuck bibleville..
