--> This is pretty strange. Someone releases a track for sale on itunes using loops from FL studio. An almost identical song is released by Deadmau5 called Faxing berlin. The Loop was included in FL studio, and FL says the loops are Royalty Free. Well I guess this isn't the case. Interesting post of the drama at the link.

the ppl who own/write the FL code are long standing idiots in my book

as far as i remember deadmau5 licensed some of his stuff to fl studio.

but i can't look at that forum, because it's members only.

is this just to attract some dumb guy like me into other forums?

you got mau'd

i have an fl license somewhere and one time i asked a valid question on their forum and gol and other developers made fun of me.

post the thread

post the thread indeed

I can't post the entire thread.. Just register.. it is instant registration for the Fruity Loops Forum.. You can read the entire posts..

Deadmau5 seems to have worked for Fruity Loops.. He wrote this to the artist that used the loops:

dear you,

the track, entitled faxing berlin, as produced, recorded and copyrighted in more ways than you can count is by Joel Zimmerman, PKA deadmau5.

i used to work for Image Line, the only content i've ever supplied them with is a demo song entitled "thats not true".

if youre about to pass the buck onto Jean Marie Cannie, youre in for a real treat....

im finished humoring this idiocy, and im forwarding this to the proper departments, where, believe it or not, less leniency will prevail no doubt.

Obviously the dumbshit Deadmau5 gave them the Berlin loops, or perhaps he wrote them while he worked at Image Line. The guy must be high.
maybe he should have taken his costume off

i seem to remember that FL said something about restricted use of their samples, acknowledgement or royalties for commercial use
or something.
can't quite remember because i always ignored it, since i have no plans to go commercial.

If you sell software with Royalty free loops, how can you differentiate between them? I have never used Fruity Loops, but I know all apple loops are royalty free. Instead of that musician being understanding about it, he acted like a complete dick and refusing to acknowledge that his own loops are given to everyone who purchases fruity loops v08. He is still a slimy cock sucker in my book. There is no ownership listed for the loops inside fo Fruity Loops so how are you supposed to know which ones are royalty free? Thank god I don't have to use loops, but still.. poor kid was a hurricane victim, and now has to pull everything.

good thing i dont use that program and its stupid preset material.

disaster averted.

Fruity Loops has always teetered on the edge with the "scene" and the "scene" has always teetered on the edge with pirates.

I smell a new Amen break candidate.

amen break 2012

does anyone have link to said amen2012?

i'd like to hear.
