--> What is happening?
Many people are selling their nice gear.
Not many are buying new (I think).
Seems that globally musicians are having issues with money.
Are things really that bad?
Even I have noticed that even without spending any money on new stuff, it still disappears somewhere, not quite sure where.
I'm not even sure what I'm trying to tell here, but it smells bad.

bad indeed
for a while theres been this big dark cloud following me around and its got 'you know you will have to sell all your studio equipment' written all over it
i try not to look at it and just pretend everything will be ok

I am buying a little something new, here and there for my modular.

Gas prices are WAY down here (under $2), thats one less worry for me at the moment. It's too bad that all those companies that used gas prices as an excuse to raise their own prices haven't followed suit yet.

oh get a load of this:

yeah do'nt have to worry about gas prices when you get fired and your car gets repo'd

it's disgusting.

What with child prices down these days, I'm thinking of picking up a couple of orphans

You know, for the basement.

i sold a really expensive EQ in like hours.. some ppl still have money!

Some people still have lots of money.
i recently listed a ton of gear for sale. out of that list, the cheapest and the most expensive items both sold. none others did, though.

my family's business is a music store, and i thought we'd be hurt quite a bit by the economic situation... but we really haven't been. 50 guitar players are born every single day, and it seems that even though people's pockets are light, they still are willing to spend money on items that fit into the 'dreams' category.

But also, so many musician's are shooting themselves in the foot by selling their gear for such low costs, enabling other people to resell the gear for more money.. and then they cry when they realized they sold everything for too little and will have to buy everything back again once they've got a bit of money.

So really, just don't sell it if you ever think you might want to keep it. Don't be that guy that talks about the gear that always talks about "that one {insert coveted item here} i wish i never would have sold.."

we ALL have lots of money WTF it's not like you are general moters or hugh hefner

at least i have as little money left as before the "recession" not mucher and not lesser if you catch my little drifter here

today i bought a tiny black adidas swimpant for 32 euros and felt pretty good about it although i even think it's a bit much for such a tiny piece of spandex. but it's made in tuensia so that is fine

i do not want any media to install any idea of a "recession" in my mind just because some general motors global player is nearly collapsing. but then again, i sometimes don't live on this planet called earth...

i ride my bike all the time though, my proud little 2-wheeled aluminium bike!

Besides GM, there's ford and chrysler. Opel is asking for loans from the german government. And thanks to globalisation, the original material for the pants probably was sourced from china, but assembled elsewhere.

What is happening?

you most likely discovered something unexplainable, or just came off a saliva trip

Many people are selling their nice gear.

that happens all the time and is nothing special

Not many are buying new (I think).

wrong i just bought a nifty swimpant with built-in ground loop isolator

Seems that globally musicians are having issues with money.

all artist have issues with money all the time, either they have to much of it or to little, mostly the latter though

Are things really that bad?

only if you think in parameters of "having" or "not having". things are like that all the time but the rain forest in borneo is up a gum-tree and the goats in bukarest have seen better days for sure

Even I have noticed that even without spending any money on new stuff, it still disappears somewhere, not quite sure where.

I'm not even sure what I'm trying to tell here, but it smells bad.

you see the pattern? these are 4-wheeled steel boxes of the antichrist. it's about time for them to drop dead when the only innovation is larger windows and more airbags! it should be smaller windows and lesser airbags if even!!!

there are plans for opel corporation to be developed into europe's first green car manufacturer so i am okay with that, i can adapt fast to new paradigms

there's a sign in my pant reading "north korean pants of doom™" hm, i wonder what's going to happen when i touch water

if the recession keeps tylth out of spedos then I'm all for collapsing economies
