This is really funny. Had to share this with everyone. We all know it happens, but being caught in the act is always a great treat!

bahahahahahah best blog of the month!
I almost missed it. If you're going to fake it at least be believable.

yeah and he's so dumb that not only did he forget the power to his midi box, but he forgot the midi from his midi box...maybe he was just on too many drugs and thought he had plugged it in...wouldn't be the first time.

i'm no justice fan but i bet the USB cable just fell out and he was too drunk to notice. you can see the cable just sitting there. that being said.. i'm sure all the nihilistic dancing party hipsters couldn't care less

Whatever the context of this photo, this still is something that irks me. I see this sort of thing go down all the time in varying degrees - go ahead and DJ your tracks if that's the way you think you'll represent the music best, but you don't have to pretend...

it's not THAT hard to play em live. sure it's hard to get stuff as complex as in the studio, but, alot of electronic music is unnecessarily complex to begin with. i almost exclusively play live now. i don't have the time to sit down and sequence everything out, resampling is my shit

The guy said his cable fell out and he was slightly wtf before it plugging it back in. I pretty much believe him, you can see the USB cable, he's looking wtf at his screen, and why would anybody put a turned off MPD on stage. If he was faking he would make sure it's plugged in

I side with the slack-cutters: Not knowing that a machine is unplugged != faking a live set.

imo the denim jackets are the most embarrasing thing about that photo, they look like they are roadies for motorhead. looks like the usb cable may have simply fell out. also...i've seen numerous electonic acts fake it before even with a usb cable going into their midi controller...making big exaggerated movements on the knobs and nothings actually happening to the sound. live electronic music's a laugh, innit?
btw - didnt justice claim before that the album was pieced together in sound forge?

what happened i thought they are using 3 lemurs, lit-up cross signs and a wall of (not real) marshall amplifiers
kidQ i read the album was made in cubase, burial was the sound forge using artist
