--> I forgot I had bought this cd a while back...

and boy am i digging it! Kinda dark, but not totally; lotsa strings, pianos, and field recordings. The other stuff on Type Records sounds nice to me right now as well..here's a samp of Deaf Center:

Porn Sword Tobacco reminds me of Deaf Center sometimes. I actually found Deaf Center in my quest for something similar to Porn Sword Tobacco...

There's two releses I beleive (both on City Centre Offices). Self-titled and "Explains Freedom".

yup, Porn Sword Tobacco is definetly an excellent recomendation

get their first release. (i think it's better than their more recent album 'explains freedom')

Label-wise & besides Type Records, there's a lot of albums out on City Centre Offices and Leaf that might fit the bill...

At least check Triosk & Dictaphone.
