I've only just started exploring it, but it seems AMAZING so far.

Super fun tool for experimenting with different instruments, and would likely work pretty well for live shows as well.

pc only....

oops, sorry mac users.
I think though there is a looping plugin that's mac only... I forget the name though... I just remember being mad that I couldn't have it... now you know what's it like, now all you mac users know the torment...

This blog is the first I 've heard of it. I definitely plan on giving it a go though...looks like a good time!

Thanks for the link.

augustus loop - mac version:
link (kinda...)

Not the one I was thinking of... but yes, Mac only indeed.

There is musolomo, which is what I think you're thinking of: link

Yes, Roshi... that is exactly the one. Thanks.

This has been on the site for years now:
Musolomo is currently availiable for OS X AudioUnit. We plan to port it to Windows VST.
How soon depends on interest. Hit the forum and let us know!

grrr.

I tried it out awhile ago, it crashed alot and I could never get the VST to run properly. Maybe it's improved since then, I know it was still in development when I tried it.

Ok, I'm starting to learn the nuances of this program... and it's damn good.
Not the most userfriendly thing out there (took me a small amount of learning time), but the flip side is it's very customizable.
Once you get to know the ins and outs it works like a dream.
No crashes at all yet, but I'm only using the stand-alone version, not the vst.

Don't bother buying a looper pedal, buy a FCB1010 and get this free software... send half of the savings to the maker of the software, and spend the rest on booze. You'll be having a great time looping, the creator Jeff Larson will be a happier man, AND you'll get atrociously drunk.

Looking forward to checking this out, thanks for the heads up adc

yes this is very awesome, im just starting to figure it out but i like it so far. i love standalone software

reminds me of brinstar in metroid

I'm fiddling with this one, looks really powerful. Im a bit stalled getting it running (as a vst inside ableton, although i have the same prob wit hthe standlaone version), i cant seem to get incoming audio to register: i dont see an input meter, or the input meter isn't metering anyone have the same prob?

thanks for posting this, i'll give it a go
