I keep finding lifeforms in my Basement Bedsit.
Last night i found a Cockroach,
It was slow moving, and i caught it easily.
I tried to trap it with a lid from a Shaving Foam Canister,
but the lid was too small, and i accidently de-capitated it.
Its body kept twitching for sometime until i flushed it.
I regularly find slugs on the kitchen carpet.
I keep standing on them with my bare feet.
Sometimes their crushed bodies end up between my toes.
They're easier to track down though, i can follow their slime trail under the sink.
I have seen a mouse in my Bedroom.
I noticed the first one when i came back from a holiday in Germany. (stfu weimar)
I was watching the movie Deliverance, when the wee dude ran across my floor right in front of me.
I noticed it the second time, when I returned from stfu Chester.
It ran out from beneath my couch as i was playing the banjo.
I have no idea where it is now.
I found something (after checking on the internet) I confirmed were mouse droppings.
I have had ants in the kitchen, in amongst my biscuits.
There were weird grey beetles living near the window.
Also, Spiders everywhere. Big ones, they just hang about the same corners for weeks.
My neighbours also make a lot of noise.
The couple next door argue loudly in Arabic every weekend.
Last Saturday, I could clearly hear the man beat his children,
First, I could hear him shout...
then loud repeated THWACKING noises.
the kids would then scream for a few minutes.
And the man would scream and thwack again.
Apart from all that, I enjoy living on my own and the rent is cheap.
Ive been playing the banjo a lot,
im trying to memorise more Traditional Scots/Irish tunes.

Its the first time anyone asked me to be on a compo CD!
Im also working my live Electronic set-up, kind of improvised minimal technoid dub.
Got a couple of gigs next month, STFU Helsinki and stuff in Glasgow.

dont get rid of the spiders or youll get lots of little ones running about. The bigguns maintain a territorial balance by eating all the others!!
Get sticky pads for the mice. Its a bit cruel but we have a bit of a problem with them due to living near fast food shops [chinese 2 shops along and one on the corner].
What you need to do to counter the neighbours is walk around your flat squawking. Its what we do here. When one of my mates pops round, as soon as he comes up the stairs, we all burst into a 5 minute squawking session [a mixture of seagulls, crows and a few invented]. It really helped me to define my space because London is so fucking noisy. I will have to record it the next time he comes over and use it in my set

i really do hate cockroaches, but can live with all the other stuff, except it would rats.
this sounds like a weird scottish fairy tale house you live in. weird animals. strange and unfriendly neighbours.
i can clearly imagine you sitting inbetween this scenario and playing seashanties with your banjo...
hope the situation clears up a bit.

haha
i forgot to mention that my neighbour also plays Keyboard.
Hes into playing weird improvised Polka tunes.
Like a weird Arabic Smooth Jazz.
I can hear him going through all his presets.
He seems to like the Accordian sound the best.
The walls are so thin though, once I farted and the couple next door laughed.

wow, I have quite a few spiders myself and ants always live around the pretzels and tortilla shells. I haven't found mice or roaches thankfully.

i'll see if i can dispatch a hawk to come kill your mice. worth getting some traps to catch them suckers. they make "humane" traps and then you can let the mice go in your neighbors apt.
make sure you dont breath any dust from the mouse droppings. you can get deathly ill that way.
