ok, so its not that musical..
but last week i gave notice in my job at the nursery. Thank fuck im outa there!!! Things were getting a little crazy without devulging too much and im glad to be out of that particular family business.
Strangely enough i start a job doing Plastic Fabrication for a place down here, who makes those big plastic signs you see outside of petrol stations and resteraunts. Looks pretty cool, with lots of hands on stuff and tool useage, most of that stuff is made/moudled from scratch.
the funny thing is i managed to bluff my way into the job.. using the old " oh yes i did it a few years ago but its waaaaaay different to what you guys are doing" and then throw in the usual suck job. mind you the factory was great, some of the shit they do is amazingly huge.
The BEST part about this job tho, is the pay rate.. im looking at almost double what i was earning at the old job per hour, plus they are open most saturdays for overtime if so wanted.. ( ie, time and a half pay )
Cons are i have to get up an hour earlier in the morning ( 7am start ) and its a little farther than the last job, but it should give me more time and more pay to throw towards my music

just watch the fumes and the loud noise in industrial jobs. no matter what the old dudes do, wear the appropriate safety attire. Knowing is half the battle.

my dumb ass cousin has no smelling cuz of an idustrial accident.
some sort of fumes vented right in his face (cuz he forgot to wear his face mask).
he works at an oil refinery.
but dont let that get you down.. cuz he (age 48) recently married a hot 23yr old venizualian girl.
even without a sense of smell, you can still score.
see, knowing IS half the battle.

first day today..
was good.. suffering a little brain overload but nothing major..
was making emergency signs for hospitals.. very nice design of perspex on a kind of olive/grey coloured aluminum.. i think this could be a damn interesting job
got covered in little flakes of plastic tho.. its like snow all over the workshop.. and you get it everywhere .. had pockets full of the stuff when i got home..
