--> I just went on a music shopping spree today, but didn't really get any of the normal gear lust stuff. On my shopping list was:
1. keyboard stand, with second tier (for my laptop)
2. mic stand
3. headphones (I wanted the sony mdrV600, and ended up with the mdrV700s, the silver dj ones)
4. guitar strap

I forgot to get the guitar strap, and made an impulse buy of a drum pedal and cymbal stand. I think the drum pedal wasn't too bad of a purchase because the one that I have been using is from a toy drum kit that my parents found in the garbage. The cymbol stand, likewise, I have been using a camera tripod with a quarter inch bolt stuck in it. not really the most comfortable gear to play on.

I gotta say, having a job is pretty nice. I used to just get all the essential stuff (out of the garbage, and on load) and ignore the things that would keep me from balancing my 88key keyboard on my lap while craning over my desk to sing into the mic that was sitting on it. Here is to total comfort!

buying gear is time well spent.

nice one mate... i just finally purchased a keyboard stand off ebay for my beast of an old ensonique.. hopefully it means no more borrowing other peoples at gigs

Congrats on the disposable income.

tahnks much everyone! I am going to dispose of all of my income eventually. in a landfill. The landfill will then be marked on a map, but that map will also be disposed in another land fill. the second landfill will have a giant arrow pointing to it, which will only be visible from space.

should've got some whiskey instead ;)
