--> I've been using this software for about 10 months now. It has taught me more about music than any other single app I've ever used. It's cheap, much higher-level than say max/msp (=great for idiots like me). I've made dozens of sequencers and modulators - and mainly they've been useful and reusable. Are there any other Numers on em411? Can we make a space for sharing patches/info? I know there is the yahoo group, but I've always preferred forums to mailing lists

I wouldnt mind seeing a Numerology patches section tag. I've been looking for an excuse to get back into this software.

hmmmm, never heard of this, is it similar at all to reaktor?

It's a modular sequencing enviroment. It can host AUs (it's Mac only) - but you can't generate/process audio using it alone. it is, however, absolutely fantastic for MIDI: sequences, randomness, generative stuff, and screwing with CCs.

once there's a universal binary version I'll break down and buy it, so yes, I'd be down for an area to share creations. from what I did with the demo it's also amazing to breathe new life into external synths.

i've only ever used it with my roland sh-32, which isn't a terribly complex box, but using a few LFOs in Numer, you can really get some amazingly complex sounds from it

i got that too for my new iBook ! superbe tool. worth the money. one of best 3 mac sequencers. and is so oldskool with new capabilities.

I'd love to try this if they make a PC version
well here's my first patch offering
link
it's a very basic lead sequencer, running from an LFO

if any one else has a patch they'd like to share please post them here. i can host them on my server - emmail me

i run it on a g3 800khz with no problems - but i only use it for generating midi which i route into ableton on my desktop. i've never really bothered with running it as a host.

wow, you are running it into Abelton? That sounds interesting. Can you give anymore information about how to do this? While you are routing the midi to Live, can you still modulate stuff in Numerology to get more interesting midi sequences to send over to Live?

that's no problem - i run numer on my laptop and ableton on my desktop.for note data as long as the record quantise in ableton is set to 'off' there's no problem - just a slight bit of latency which i shave off manually after i record the loop. recording CC is a bit tricky tho - live (v4) interpolates the CC data so if a CC sequence is steppy ie jumps from a value of 0 to a value of 20 live seems to record it as a wave - going from 0 to 20 rather than stepping. the best workaround for this is bouncing down the audio from an effect to a spare track to capture all the numer mayhem accurately. numer's sync signal is pretty solid - so getting live to run as a slave is straightforward.

Any word on when Numerology 2 will be released, what it will include, and if it will be UB?
