--> Here's a little beatslicer patch (like I've never seen one of them before ) that I just sort-of finished making in Pd. I'm really getting into Pd now -- it's freaking amazing.

Anyway, this patch is hazardously messy and might be a bit hard to understand, but I tried to comment it a little. Just thought somebody might find it interesting.

How do I run this?

I have pasted it in the pd main window. I normally edit in the graphical window and save as ".pd" files.

You could simply download the file and open it in Pure Data, as you would any normal one. It's a ".pd" file -- they just seem to be displayed by default in most browsers, rather than saved.

There it is. Playing with it now......

Cool patch! Haven't ever used a drum slicer before, so I'm kind of scratching my head as far as what to do with this nuttiness.

I like the idea of using ~bonk for transient detection. Did you try my chopchop mod yet?

Heh, thanks Squeal. I just usually let stuff flow through it and get weirded up.

I don't believe I have, Roger, could you point me to it?

It's a mod of Hetleveiker's beat slicer from 2003: link

Wow, that's awesome. A lot cleaner-looking than mine.
