--> Yes, the wait is over! Clark's new album "Body Riddle" has finally dropped and is available for purchase! Despite the silly name change, (Chris) Clark has continued to greatly impress me throughout his Warp career. And while I have not heard this album yet, the samples I've heard from it, the taste I got from his EP "Throttle Furniture", and the limited edition free tracks avaliable to download on his website (throttleclark.com), have left a very good taste in my mouth.

This album, just like the last one, is an evolution in the Chris Clark sound. In fact, it's very different and I think it will take some time to absorb and grow on me. It seems very fresh and original, with still keeping to certain IDM conventions.

Who else will be checking this one out?

great news.
I've been waiting for this one.

He is my favorite Warp artist by far. I have been extremely excited with this one.

Its meant to be his best work to date.

Ultre is mates with him and has remarked how (independantly) they have both moved towards bringing more diverse acoustic instruments such as piano etc into the sound pallette.

i like chris clark. but no one on warp comes close to boc for me personally. i did enjoy throttle furniture muchly.

this album is incredibly beautiful, i just sat through the album pressing play every 30 seconds on bleep...

yes brethren.. i got this in the post 3 days ago... i ordrd it off warp ages ago. tis marvelous. BIG sounds... saw clark live in brighton in volks.. actually was herendously bassy and ear bleed volume.

Also, he was on the bill at a new media arts and electornic music festival i co-organised as part of my uni student exchange with a vilnius, lithuania. you can check this out link here.. bloody marvelous..lithuania rocks...

mrmrmr did you get the free 3" throttle clarence? (if so) how is it?

the free cd is great too. harder dance floor stuff.
damn... I ordered on Bleep and I want the free CD. Perhaps since I bought the album, I'll just take the liberty of helping myself to them on Slsk =)

The album is quite good. There are some really amazing and beautiful tracks. A very solid release and I think I'll love it even more as I get to know it better. Current highlight tracks for me are: Herr Bar, Frau Wav, Ted, Night Knuckles, and The Autumnal Crush.

I guess you aren't allowed to post

your mom

more than a few times on this page...

it seems discriminating

The sound on the new CD is really really well done, mixing etc. Reverb was done almost perfectly. But it doesn't come close to being as good as Empty the Bones of You (which is one of my favorite albums), for me. Body Riddle just feels too linear compared to it. Although that by no means makes this a bad album.

it is very good and i totally agree with you on the reverb - the space and the seperation is brilliant

but there are loops in there that i can hear and i think - it needed to be more carefully stitched together

i dont understand electronic music anymore.
its offical.

yeah, not sure if its as good as Empty The Bones Of You, still giving it some time though.

I like this album. Strikes me as more acoustic than his previous work. A more "mature" work, perhaps. The drum arrangements are impeccable, as usual.
