Here it is.
Not much to say. It's usually a lot messier. Actually my girlfriend took these a couple nights ago and I didn't realise it until I flipped through the camera tonight and I'd been meaning to do it anyway. There are two mirrors facing each other. They used to creep me out and there's some kind of Japanese superstition about the 11th reflection, or the 13th reflection, or something. Now they just make me feel calm. I guess they remind me that I exist in physical space.
That gear rotates around a lot and about 50% of the time there's an A5000 right underneath that TX81Z. The current setup is for a project I'm doing with Zach (used to hang out around here as sadmnky)
The bookshelf probably says a lot more about be than my gear does.

I just asked her why she took the pics. I guess she posted them to her blog. Probably more fun to look at if you can read Japanese.
Also, my SQ80 is obscured by the chair.

Nice. C++ for dummies, Abbie Hoffman's Steal This Book, Animal Behaviour and the Guide to getting it on. Can't go wrong with any of those.
Also, I like the desk. I have yet to find a better desk than a door and two saw horses. The shopping cart is pretty sweet too - like a milk crate on steroids. I must aquire one.

Hehe. 3 of the 4 rule, and I never did open C++ for dummies. One of these days, when I decide to code my own VSTs.

Thank you I got the desk at a yard sale for like $10, and it still had its metal parts intact. They were quite handy and I loved the size of the desk but it was just too fucking big to make it through my last move. I couldn't bear to be parted with it so I just put it up on blocks.
The cart, appropriately enough, was what I used to carry my turntables home. When they came to the post office, my girlfriend, who's also my only ride, was showing her parents around Seattle. I got kind of attached to it, so that's exactly it. Jumbo milk crate, exactly, and I like the color too.

nice little setup licensio.
the quality of a shopping cart can make or break a studio. even more important than monitor selection imo.

The shopping cart's primary function is vinyl storage but it's also an inspirational piece. I've always been inspired by the grocery store, probably because my fat ass loves me some food.
The drum machine is not a sweet sweet sweet Kawai but rather a Yamaha RY-30.

It's actually a wonderful book by Shel Silverstein. amazon. My aunt gave it to me.
I really do need to do more dancing tho.

LOL.

Fuck the manual, I don't need it. Actually I only read it when I'm curious about the db/oct conversion module and the manual still confuses the shit out of me.

LOL. Mine almost did. Luckily we are really good friends with another couple that moved here at the same time and 1/2 of that couple was really impressed/amused with the shopping cart so somehow he helped me convince her to keep it. She was pretty pissed about it though.

It ended up at our house when a friend was moving (the Japanese commnunity here is pretty tight-knit and do this kind of stuff for each other on a daily basis) and when she came to pick up the rest of her stuff, it had kind of grown on me, so she just let me keep it.
Either that or my GF told her in Japanese that I sat in it naked a couple times and she got grossed out and didn't want to touch it ever again.
