Hi
Please recommend me some books that have helped you when youre creating music. From general music theory to software specific books.
Thanks

Anything at all?

The Cubase Bible, Mastering Audio by Bob Katz, & the Heavy Guitar Bible. I like bibles.

Advanced Programming Techniques for Modular Synthesizers
FM Theory & Applications
Max/MSP Documentation
Nord Modular v3.0 Manual
Pd Documentation
The Theory and Techniques of Electronic Music

Each of these has been helpful to me, both in working with the specific hardware or software and/or better understanding electronic music and sound itself. For instance, I've only used Max/MSP a couple of times but the documentation has helped with other things like programming the Nord MicroModular, writing Pd patches, etc.

Awesome, nice links, zach

Thanks, man!

Cornishacid, I should also say that reading owners' manuals - even for synths you don't own - can be really helpful. Roland and Yamaha (among lots of others) have made their entire backlog of documentation available for free online. And the Sound On Sound tutorials are awesome, if not books as requested.

Oh. And a lot of people like this.
