One can only hope that this will finally lead to the demise of Generation X..

Sorry old dudez, I missed out on that ish by a year.

How desperate do you have to be to want to pay for Radiohead stems, then add your meaningless remix to the mountain of other hopefuls' efforts? Paying someone to remix them is a joke.

How many remixes are there now?

1594 now apparently and £4.74 to buy the stems? nearly £8k there just in those uploaded.

Of course, in the spirit of things, you could just say "fuck you radiohead!" and download the stems from TBP & mininova:

and once completed, throw your remix into the trash and delete all the files.

I'm tempted to upload them ten minutes of white noise, but it wouldn't be worth it unless I could be there as a fly on the wall when they listened to it.

or a quicktime file full of meatspins

it'd be funny if someone did knockoffs of all the stems and sold them at a discount price.

as far as radiohead, i'm sure they're having a very solemn and furrowed discussion about the implications of this within the capitalist dialectic, on top of a big buttered pile of money.

i love the part where the big prize is that "radiohead will listen to the best remixes"

hahaha

king radiohead will deign to soil HIS ROYAL EAR with my shitawful music?! WOW
LOL. that takes some gall. well good, at least there's no confusion about their attitude anymore. you hear that fanboys?? Radiohead doesn't give a fuck about you! your love is totally unrequited.

the terms of the copyright stuff is just astounding too. not only do you forfeit the publishing of anything you do to warner/chapell, you have to forfeit your masters.

it's kinda like that verve thing that happened with bittersweet symphony and the rolling stones, but somehow 'edgier' and 'anticapitalist'.

hey. I appreciate the other ideas/opinions about this.
I was truly excited about them releasing their own, on their own.
I'm really surprised about the Starbucks bit of that. link and the rumor of signing the Starbucks label of all things to do.

Alas, Radiohead has jumped the shark.

people wearing $18 che guevara t-shirts (that took $.50 in raw materials and child labor to produce) can now jump for joy.

On the highway of fame, Radiohead are running on fumes.

LOL. link

Cnt W8 2 RE-MIX Thisssss!!!!!~

well the only thing that would've made it better is if they said they were reading this in Starbucks on their new MacBook Pro while sipping a latte and listening to In Rainbows on their iPod (which they bought on iTunes after already buying the "name your price" version) after they just got done uploading their vlog to YouTube.
