yo, i've just acquired 2 of those small uca202 behringer soundcards and was wondering if you can run them in tandem with each other to get multiple outs? im just trying to rig up a crappy laptop dj setup at the moment, and due to being an unemployed student its hard to get anything good, so junkyard solutions it is.

cheers,

nick.

If you're using OS X you can create an aggregate audio device.

If you're using Windows--dunno. Sometimes you can use two soundcards from the same manufacturer together.

soundcard dueling is illegal in 14 states.

;) you gotta give us some info, like what sort of computer and what software.
asio4all.com might also be of use to you, depending.

i have two Layla24 laptop (PCMCIA) and i can run them without problems in XP... but maybe it depends on the card??? i mean my Laylas are capable of running together using a BNC cable to sync both of them together using Word Clock. not sure if it's the same with other cards... i know i can have multiple M-Audio FW 410 connected in one system...

Too the death!

im running vista, as lame as it is. i was pretty much thinking of having a crack at some shitty dj'ing using traktor for parties on my laptop but dont have a card with multiple outs. i got a uca202 a while ago and a friend just gave me his the other day cause he dont want it so thats why i happen to have 2.

ASIO4ALL should do it.

yeah ASAGIOCHEESE4ALL is a good workaround. does the manual say anything about using multiple uca202 connected?
but using one uca202, in Traktor you can use the stereo outs as separate mono outs, and use the left output to cue, the right output as master. i'm pretty sure Traktor sums up the stereo channels to mono when you do this too, so no worries missing sounds or weird effects when things are panned in the stereo mix...

cheers sweettrip, i never thought of that stupidly enough! also i got the uca202's second hand so they didnt even come with a manual or anything, but if traktor is capable of splitting the outs then the mystery is solved.
