depends on your bass degree

thanks, the kvr link had pretty much what i was looking for, lol i'm not trying to make dubstep just funky 2step beats

i'm a bit out of it, but is there such a thing as funky 2step? wouldn't that be ... not 2step?

that dubstep production forum is actually really unhelpful most of the time...

to the original poster... listen to some garage? its not that hard to dissect the beats... depending on how literal you wanna get with the sounds, there was a site with a bunch of garage loops, i'll see if i can find it, if not i might be able to zip the folder i've got and put it up somewhere... at least you can take a close look at the individual drum sounds

in the meantime check some of these mixes for ideas

ramadanman set does some interesting things with 2 step beats

some classics from UV

another interesting take on the sound with dj whistla

jogn, i'm confused. at first i thought 2step was like, kick on 1 and 3.5 and snares on 2 and 4, but then i see alot of tracks that say stuff about two step and it has like a funkier kindof swung thing must be thinking about garage 2step

okay, so here's a little thing i've been working on, this is made with drum machines and not loops. i got the kind of drums i was looking for, the song is ehhhh but the drums were my focus so..., oh yah and also i put like some nice effects on the drums to make them sound cool
