i don't think you can use a controller with nanoloop only sync it with other gear.

This site has some information on using the DS with Pure Data or Max/MSP: link

Does the Micron respond to CC messages? If so, you could then route the data from Pd or Max out to your Micron.

Also, try searching for "nintendo ds" on the Cycling 74 forum (http://www.cycling74.com/cgi-bin/searchsite.pl?SearchText=%22nintendo+ds%22) for some more leads.

I don't know why I saw "nanoloop" and thought "ds". I need to get some sleep. :/

you can run it through the FX though.

which version of nanoloop 1.3 or 2?

they sometimes sell midi cables on the nanoloop site link

alternatively you could get an lsdj/nanoloop sync box made by firestarter (or make one yourself if you have the skills) link

diy project link

lameboy on 8bitcollective.com is making a run of firestarter's LSDJMC^2 boxes.

i think you can still preorder them link

he's only making a handful so if you want one you better jump on it.. i'm pretty excited can't wait to get mine..

thanks alot guys and yeah its nanoloop 1.3
i def would have gotten lsdj if i wasnt so broke but im just using my gameboy color for it and i just thought id be much more fun to play songs live through the micron with the nanoloop sounds

but yeah ill look at all those links and see what i can do

thanks again fellas

you need an old skool gameboy 4 way adapter. i've got one actually that i planned to construct the midi adapter with. that was about 8 years ago and my lack of electronics skill and lazyness prevented me from getting it done. just get one of them get the schematics off the net and the components you need come to about 5 quid if i remember correctly. you can probably get a 4 way adapter off ebay. i'm not up for getting rid of mine but if live near manchester we're i'm based i'd be up for letting you use it.
you can only sync it by the way, nanoloop just emits a pulse as the tempo info.

apologies for my terrible grammer in that post! i meant 'if you live near manchester where i'm based' !!
