I really like the idea of getting a more hands on cheap synth. Has anyone used one? Is it just a silly toy?

It seems like a great happy accident maker to me.
Better than the laser harp by far

Yeah I bought one also, and took it back within three hours! And It felt like it was going to break with about three more hours of playing!! My sample bank already has all the sounds that are in the little sucker Also, but great promoting on the part of KORG!! So now I have $142 credit to spend at the Music Story!!

Depending on your style of music, you might get more out of the mini-KP kaoss pad

Jesus, the thing is $200. It is not a cheap breakable synth. Just because it is plastic doesn't mean it'll break. I've been using one since it came out and I've had no issues. That said, it is a preset synth and it has many short comings. However, they are usable presets and it is fun to use... I say go for it.
