Is it true folkies that one of these babies bought from the USA can simply be used in Europe/UK by plugging in a power adaptor with the polarity switch reversed?
(ie; what peeps can do with early model Electribes brought to the UK from the States)

The Poly 800 uses an external DC adapter. You could just obtain a matching adapter that works in your country. I think the adapter is 9v, but i'm not sure if its center-positive or center-negative. If you look on the back of the unit, I think it has a legend molded into the plastic.
