Focusrite Saffire LE. Great little interface.

I've had Soundblaster AWE64, Soundblaster Live, Edirol UA20 and Edirol FA101, now I have Motu 828 mkII firewire... honestly there was nothing wrong with Edirol interfaces but I just needed something that would fit into rack. I do like 828 the most... it's just nice to use it, it's got all the nice knobs and possibilities.

I've got the Lexicon Omega which has gone down in price since I brought it. I love it...great sound, inbuilt mixer, mic preamps, phantom power and lexicon reverb plug in for free!

I bought a Presonus Firestudio Project earlier this year to replace my aging Aardvark Aark24 - the Win98 box the Aark was on was passing away slowly and it was time for a new audio card. It doesn't help that Aardvark went out of business so many years ago...

I did a lot of research and bugging friends on what they use - it was a toss up between Focusrite and Presonus. There are better out there if you want to spend more money - but keeping under $500 - those two companies both build quality stuff.

another vote for a presonus ... firepod, firestudio etc... works well, sounds good, good functionality

the ones that look really interesting to me are the desktop interfaces (as opposed to mobile or rack).

the new edirol mixer interface looks really cool, wonder if anyone's used or seen it being used or whatever: edirol M-16DX

seems nice, i wish it had more outs. if you needed a bunch of ins it could be an ideal solution.

i've got an Audigy Platinum that I really love and has been uber good to me in my tower...as for laptop, it's usually onboard sound and a midisport 2x2 for me...

Let it all out celibacyclub.

RME fireface 400, very happy with it.

Motu Ultralite here as well - some minor niggles, mostly addressed by replacing the shitty FW cable that came with it.

the new Motu 828 Mk III looks sweet, on board DSP

had the Mk II no complaints

That 828 mk3 makes me feel funny inside...I have no need for that many input/outputs though

I bought a used Presonus Firebox a few years ago and it still works like a charm. Perfect for my small home studio.
