I do web design for a living... I'd be happy to help out, unfortunately it would have to be paid work.

If you're interested, do let me know.

^ That portfolio hasn't been updated in a while but it should give you an idea of what I do.

paid work is cool. we're looking to hire a professional. Cool, i'll have a look!

tanks!

Right on...

Well to give you some background info, I've been doing this stuff (design + front end development) for about a decade now. I've spent the last couple years working with a number of agencies in Toronto on some pretty large accounts. Though, I've been freelancing since October, so these days it really is smaller projects like these I'm looking to take on.

You got me at a good time, I just finished up a 1.5 month gig last week!

PS. most of the stuff in my portfolio is very corporate. If you are looking for something funky and refreshing I'm totally up for that too. I love experimenting with designs, unfortunately my typical clients have very set style guides that they don't like to move very far away from.

there are many web-designers around these parts (including me!)...you'll have a number to choose from.

My brother is a professional of at least 10 years now.

Have a butchers at his portfolio

designers are as common as guitarists

to extend the analogy, good web designers are as common as good guitarists.

i am making a website now for this guy link
bad designers = drummers

I'm making this for a hip apartment hotel:
(work in progress -right now I'm designing the navigation system + picking colors)

I wouldn't call this a lot of work on my behalf, but I made it work (got a Korg Prophecy + Yamaha a3000 as payment)
I did this with a friend (he designed it in indesign -I had the amazing job of cutting it up and building it out of cut pieces )

ps. I'm hip and cool.. and hip and square!

thanks for all the links guys. going thru them now!

no worries at all...

also, under the links section of my site there are a bunch of links to designers and developers I have worked with in the past. Feel free to look around there too, there are some goodies! *cough* john thai *cough*

Joey Trimmer (aka Mixedtape) was one of two who did my site:

Eric Schoster (aka hecanjog) also does web design.

So do a bunch of others, cbit comes to mind as well.
