I open an existing project and no clips will play, and the master transport does nothing either. wtf?
yesterday it worked just fine.

any suggestions?

sorry, I jumped the gun.

I had restarded several times and changed some settings etc etc, but (as you've already guessed) it was the audio interface...

I simply shut down, unplugged the firewire, blew on it for good luck, plugged it back in, started the 'puter and everything was peachy.
