Because one never has enough compressors, here's another one from the talented Audio Damage camp:
Rough Rider
Sounds great (with built-in limiter) and free!

free stuff is always cool cheers

just played wit it for a bit.

sounds good

yeah it does have it own sound, which I like
it has a hi-end roll of @ -4 db at about 10 khz,
which is fine for some stuff, not so for other

the fact that it doesn't overload, even at *very* extreme settings
is something special and very useful

i see it more as a sounddesign tool, than as a indepth compressor

"We left off the actual time values, so you're gonna have to use your ears, like the he-men did it in times of myth. "

he just cant help it, can he

anyone else notice that everytime it triggers the sound is quite noticeably different?

I recorded a kick running through it for a few bars. . some of them sounded completely retarded . .so now i have to sample after processing to find a consistent one.. and im not being nitpickey. . I have very daft ears it is quite a noticeable change.

i love this thing. it has the shelf at 10khz but i put some additive eq post compression and it comes out so brilliant. probably my favorite software comp.

I love the sound of it but it doesn't like not having anything running thru it.

It gets a little cranky and starts denormaling --- eating up much more CPU than it should.

This is curable by feeding it something even for just one shot, but this shouldn't be the case with a plugin from a reputable manufacturer that has supposedly gone thru beta testing.

It sounds very good & "solid" if I can say. Deffinatly a keeper plus it's work well in my setup (no bugs or crash or anything). Thanks to Audio Damage for giving it for free!

thanks for bringing this to my attention

update: this thing is really juicy! i tried it on some basslines and some snares, lotsa punch.

Good to know. I've heard a lot of good things about their pluggies but haven't bought any as there are no demos. This'll be a good way to test the water.
