Best way to record beatboxing?

Im recording some beat boxing for a rap thing im doing. Whats the best way to capture all the sounds do u think?

we did some beatboxing back in the day...just used a regular optimus 1/4" mic. some crazy plosives but otherwise useful stuff

plug some headphones into the mic input, turn gain way up, and beatbox into them for a lo-fi layer.

cheap mic + direct to cassette tape. bring it into digital, layer it then gate & compress the hell out of one copy.
