Besides the expensive Orange and ELS vocoders, anyone know of a free or more affordable vocoder available as an Audio Unit for Mac OSX ?? I can't find anything.... Thanks.

Never used it, but it must be worth a try.

Oh, and KVR is amazing for things like this.

never found an acceptable one before ableton's the vocoder in live is sublime.

I guess $99 for Robotronic is okay. I can't spend any more than that though.

Have any of you used vocoding for anything other than vocals (i.e. synths, drums, field recordings)? How have the results turned out?
