What's a fair price for a Roland JP-8000? Is $600 good? Vintage Synth evals it at $1200 (seems high). Only a few ebay listings, all from same (probably commercial) seller. Thank you.

600 is a pretty good price iirc...
they used to go for more. I wanted the jp8080 which is the rack version of this synth... that went for 550 back in the day.
yeah he's only asking 630 but wants another 145 to ship... I get that it's heavy, but on your end that's still almost 800$
still a pretty good price IMO

Thx dkarma. It was local, so no shipping...waited a little and seller reduced the price to $500. Listing disappeared so I probably missed out. I'll call the seller just to make sure.

I wouldn't pay more than 500 for a jp8000, I had the 8080 and was very disappointed, when the efx is turn off its pretty tame and not very quit as warm as a Juno
