I am seriously craving some old IDM mixes. Strictly 90's. So I am turning to y'all because google is failing me. Every mix that I do find online is not quite right. I trusty you. What you got?

Mixes?

what do you mean exactly?
mr jugel! a response, yes! beat-matched mixes, mix tapes, radio shows, homemade compilations, and the like...
Not sure if you're interested in any new IDM stuff, but I'd check here: link
weird,.. I didn't know IDM was ever mixed in the 90's.

Thought it was just put on during the post-rave bong session..
the 2 blech mixes from warp are the only thing i can think of
lol djugel... damn that is the most apt description of idm PERIOD.

most of it sounds like garbage unless you're still feeling a little E.
I totally forgot about this track until yesterday...

yes! some leads!

TomPhonic, new idm is good. I'm a check out that link. The older stuff gives me some nostalgia for a time before I really knew anything about how this music was done, and often seemed weirder or more abrasive.

djugel, I heard only one idm mix in the MID 90's on houston college radio, a dj that called himself "headphuk" or something like that. One track was recognizable in the mix: autechre clipper (my first time hearing the track and I really had to hunt later not knowing the artist at the time). Some other tracks thrown in that I had never heard, and this was at a time when jungle / ambient / trip-hop / and 90's "electro" were all fusing together in different ways, and some of the harder to describe combos would have been in the mix i'm sure. By the late 90's, and years 2000-2001, I started stumbling on more mixes, early podcasts and such, but I didn't keep anything.

so you and monk connect idm w/ drugs, and I think I will sound like an idiot saying I listened to it completely sober, and loved it! I went to raves sober too, dancing like an idiot and making "real time" interactive painting/collage. Yes I was/am a dork.
liking the tracks posted, btw.
This is kind of apt... I just logged back in here after YEARS! Good to see some old faces around.

I just uploaded a live mix I did of em411 artists from 2002-2004.

It's on my soundcloud: link

It's the live at Kent Street mix.

It's a cool time capsule of what was going on here at the time.

Hope you like it!
Atari, can't wait to check it out!
Thanks Atariboy!

Andrew - I listened to a ton of aphex and autechre before I did drugs or went to raves... so don't feel like a weirdo.

My come down music was usually the Gentle People actually..
another rare gem was the track "Red, Blue, Yellow" by Euphone.

best link I could find..

link
Ah yes the gentle people! Checking that euphone link. Atariboys mix was solid. I feel like I wasnt paying attention to the em411 talent, despite being a semi-regular at about the time period that the mix focused on. Now I know!
